BROOKS, AB (September 27, 2019) – The Brooks Bandits of the Alberta Junior Hockey League have added 1999-born forward James McIsaac (Winnipeg, MB) to the roster, the team announced today.
The CJHL rights to McIsaac, 20, were acquired from the Portage Terriers of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL) in a trade last season. McIsaac’s playing rights were acquired from the Muskegon Lumberjacks of the United States Hockey League (USHL) this week.
The 5’11”, 183lb forward scored 18 points (7 goals, 11 assists) in 53 games for Muskegon last year, a year in which he committed to attend and play for NCAA Division I Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI).
Prior to that, he scored 53 points (25 goals, 28 assists) in 58 games for Portage in 2017-18, and reached the Western Canada Cup in 2017 after a 68-point (34 goals, 34 assists) in a 59 game campaign split between Portage and the Winnipeg Blues.
